A Truly wonderful book that I believe is seriously under appreciated. Autobiography of  Montagu Graham-White was a pioneer Motorist who taught others, including the ladies (or is that especially the Ladies?) the art & pleasure of driving, a Man of unusual methods who insisted they controlled the Steering Wheel with just one  hand, in the then correct view, that the other hand would invariably be operating some other control of the vehicle, when an emergency might occur! A master of improvisation, when during the Thousand Mile Trial of 1900, a front wheel linkage was damaged & the wheel could not be steered, he solved the problem by booting the revolving wheel in the direction required, he covered some fifty odd miles in that manner  & completed that day's run in time. He was able to make the necessary repairs overnight. The boots however were beyond any 'cobblers' kind attention! His nautical exploits are equally entertaining and the pictures of the refinery of accommodation of these ships has to be seen to be believed. A very detailed & enjoyable volume of some size, running to 436 pages.  The book is in good clean condition but the cover is quite well worn and tired looking ,generally marked (see image) from years on the shelf  and  with the cover cloths somewhat  freyed at the edges with embossed cover boards (probably never a jacket)  - there are two variations of cover deign (this being the less elbaroate)  but the date and content of each books appear to be the same
