10x7" (250x175mm) colour photo of future BTCC champion Matt Neale at speed in his BMW 318i at Donington in the end-of-season TOCA "Shootout" race of 1993 , a race which was most famous for the appearance of F1 and Indycar champion Nigel Mansell in a Ford Mondeo.

Colour film of the famous DAYTONA BEACH RACE (in this case which when it began in the late 30s was the foundation of NASCAR and by the mid 50s was a highlight of the championship .
Half the course was along a narrow road that ran along the back of the famous beach and the other half was on the sand itself . The corners on and off the beach quickly became very rutted and accidents galore became a feature of the event.
The building of the Superspeedway nearby signalled the end of this course - probabaly much ti the relief of the drivers and car owners! before the big race starts there is some record breaking which took place on the beach as part of 'Speed Week'

By arrangement with the family of Le Mans, F1 and Brooklands driver the late George Abecassis, we are pleased to offer a selection of photos printed up from "the family album" of his racing and rallying exploits.
George raced a wide variety of cars over a career that lasted 2 decades (HWM, Bugatti, SS100, Aston Martin etc) and competed in events from thw 1000 yards hillclimb at Shelsley Walsh to the 1000 mile road race, the Mille Miglia.
