Chris Summers at the wheel of his Lotus 24 Chevrolet chassis no. 942 at Brighton Speed Trials in, I think, 1966 or maybe 65?
Summers car was an ex F1 1.5 litre with a small block Chevy squeezed into the back and raced widely in British Formule Libre events in the mid-late 1960s and later in the first season of F5000.
Summers sadly died when a tyre blew at Snetterton in September 1970 and threw the car off the Norwich straight at top speed, throwing him out (he never wore belts)...
