1949 autobiography of the famous "Sammy" Davis, AUTOCAR journalist and 'Bentley Boy" Le Mans winner.
Davis raced at Brooklands, le Mans, in the TT and other events throughout the 20s and 30s, winning the 1927 24 Hours race in a factory Bentley after pulling it out of a multiple pile up at White House corner during the night and, with bits falling off it and the chassis bent, struggling on to the end in Bentley's most famous motor sporting success.
Lots of trials, rallying and hillclimb interest as well.
Davis then served in WW2 driving a jeep.
