Large softback book of period photos issued to celebrate the 150th anniversary of Citadel Station's opening on what is now of course one of the world's mast famous lines from Settle to Carlisle. Seven companies op-erated in the towmn untill the grouping of 1923  and the town played host to the Greasley A3 and Stanier Coronation Pacifics at the height of the streamliner era when there was a greater concentration of mainline shed there than anywhere else in the country.  92 pages, very good book, a little corner wear and the spine has faded.
