Hardback 1st edition biography of the amazing Archie Scott-Brown, the 1950s racing driver who despite being born with an unformed right hand and very short lower legs was able to match and sometimes beat the likes of Stirling Moss and Mike Hawthorn in major sports car (and occasional F1) races in the late 50s. His career was for some years held back by officials who didn't see him as physically fit enough for the job - he easily proved them wrong once he had the chance. He mostly drove Lister sports racing cars built by his friend,Cambridge based engineering company owner Brian Lister (hence the title) and also Connaught F1 cars. Tragically he died in a Lister at the notoriously dangerous SPA circuit in Belgium in 1958 at the peak of his powers, a victim of the racing driver's worse nightmare at the time - fire.
