Rare previously unpublished photo of Auto Union D Type V12 Grand Prix car #3 in the 1938 Donington Grand Prix.
This one was driven by Christian Kautz, team mate to the winner, the legendary Tazio Nuvolari.
Here he's seen at the Old Hairpin, which is about where the tyre wall is on the current layout, the Old Hairpin today turns right some 100 yards earlier than it did in 1938.
