F1 legend Ronnie Peterson at speed on lap one of the 1978 Silverstone 6 Hours world sportscar championship race with his factory entered BMW 320 Turbo Group 5 car with Porsche 935s all around him and the race winning 'Moby Dick' 935/78 of Ickx/Mass visible in the far distance.
Peterson was one of a number of star names BMW employed to try and topple Porsche domination in the Group 5 ranks in 76-78. In this event he and team mate Hans Stuck retired with rear axle failure
