Armed with a simple Kodak Instamatic and a degree of cheek and nerve, the teenage Stuart managed to talk his way into motor racing paddocks, onto starting grids and into the company of his heroes during the 1970s. It's a world of Hunt & Lauda, Hill and Stewart, of Gethin, Redman and Purley, from the days when Britain sometimes boasted three or four F1 races each year and when the leading 'national' catagory was the thunderous Formula 5000. Aside from this you also find the RAC Rally, a bit of drag racing, F1 cars on the hill at Shelsley Walsh and touring cars.
