ERA R5B StJohn Horsfall, A P R Rolt, FW Dixon in pits at Brooklands 10x7" photo

The famous  ex 'B Bira' ERA  R5B (Remus) in the pits at Brooklandfs with it's subsequent owner/drivers St John Horsfall at the wheel and frequient co-driver/co-owner(?) Tont Rolt stood beside him. The short man in the middle is the famous/notorious car anbd motrcycle racer/tuner/TT winner/drinker/fighter and all round 'character'  Freddie Dixon who prepared the car - by this point he had been handed a life-ban from racing (and in fact driving)  due to his frequent run-ins with the law.....
