Really nice photo of the Ferrari 500 F2 car of Farina being push started in the paddock by the team mechanics at Silverstone prior to the 1952 British GP.
In 1952 and 1953 all world championship Grand Prix were held to F2 regulations and Ferrari team leader Alberto Ascari dominated both years, winning back to back world titles for Ferrari and in this case won the British GP at an avaerage speed of 90mph with Taruffi 2nd and Farina a surprisingly low 6th.
The car is being pushed, minus bonnet/hod along what is now the club circuit, which at the time was used as the paddock, with the rather nice selection of period vehicles in the background.
