Black and white photo of rally legend, Hannu Mikkola in his Eaton Yale backed Ford Escort RS1800 group 4 Rally car.
This is the 1980 Lombard RAC Rally (now known as the Rally Great Britain) and it's on the Speech House stage in the Forest ofDean on the final day of the event. It's not the sharpest shot but it is rathernice.
Mikkola dominated the world rally scene in the late 70s and British events in particular but on this occasion was beaten by new-boy Henry Toivanen in a Talbot Sunbeam Lotus.
