Volume 1 (although not identified as such as Volume 2 was issued later on) Year by year photographic study of F1 in the era of British domination with Ferrari and latterly the British run Matra (Tyrrell) the only regular interlopers in a secession of wins by  Cooper, BRM, Lotus, Brabham and McLaren (and the British made AAR Eagle) teams and with Graham Hill, Jim Clark, John Surtees and Jackie Stewart winning the majority of drivers titles. Early jewel like 1.5 litre cars give way to the "Return of Power" in 1966 and the more muscular 3 litre formula  which progressively sees winder tyres and the appearance of aerodynamic wings and ultimately sponsorship . Fantastic , evocative colour images from the track in the pits and beyond. 240 pages fine condition book and jacket.
