Great large size black & white photo depicting the legendary Land Speed Record car GOLDEN ARROW which was powered by a NAPIER LION 12 cylinder aero engine and which set the outright Land Speed Record at Daytona Beach , Florida in 1929 of 231mph .

The car is shown here from the front and gives a good impression of how the sleek body was tailored neatly around the three banks of the engine. It's famous driver Sir Henry Segrave, winner of the 1923 French GP for Sunbeam, is at the wheel and alongside him is Major Irving the designer with the sea and two lovely support cars in the background.
