Known as the 'Birdcage' due to the complexity of the fine tubing that formed it's spaceframe chassis . The effect was a very strong yet light chassis at the time, but a nightmare to repair, between practice and the race, A Car that had to be mastered on the track and was an acknowledged 'Driver's' Car, Only the very best of Driver's could get the very best out of the 'Birdcage' but those that did invariably enjoyed good results. Ugly or Beautiful, it was one or other dependant on your view, but never was it anything in-between. From the late '50's to early '60's it was at its peak on the World Circuit's. This book gives full detail of all the Chassis and customer ownership and the race records of Driver's & Car involved. This book is long out-of-print and considered a collector's item at the highest level, as are all of Joel Finn's equally fine Marque Histories. The book which runs to 206pp has an abundance of photos. Book and jacket quite well read, certainly not a mint example, the jacket is slightly discoloured by ages. Priced to reflect this. Very rare.
