1st British edition, same year as original American 1st edition. . The tale of three Motor Tours as seen through the Eyes of an eminent American authoress of the day, in the company of her somewhat disinterested husband (Teddy), but for the second & by far the longest Tour, her appreciation of the journey was highlighted for her by the other travelling companion, none other than her life long role model of Literature (Henry James). All 3 tours included Charles Cook her American Chauffeur & a progressively secondhand 15hp Panhard. The Foreword by Julian Barnes is excellent in bringing the personalities to life. The book runs to 201 pages in red Cloth Binding with Gilt Emboss. In Good Condition as you can see on the photos, just a bit of fading.
