1985 edition of a 1982 hardback charting the manufacture and assembly (from knock-down-kits) of cars in Ireland culminating in the (at the time of writing) new DeLorean factory with it's multi million pound hand out from the British government...much of which was later misappropriated by the ebullient ex Detroit Executive who's name featured on the cars.. Prior to this however we have the Burke and the Chambers, pukka car and  lorry makers in the pre WW1 era, assorted projects by Harry Ferguson the tractor magnate, the Crossle racing cars and any number of assembly lines putting together BMC and even Adler products for local consumption. There is also reference to motor trade suppliers and special builders, coach builders etc. Very good clean book and jacket. 165 pages
