Doug Nye charts the rise of would-be racing driver Frank Williams through his early years in F3 and then as a dealer in racing cars to his days as an F1 entrant with Piers Courage, as the constructor of F1 cars for De Tomaso, Iso and then his self-named team, the joint venure with Wolf that ended with a brand new Williams F1 team with Patrick Head as deisgner and Alan Jones as his promising new driver.
The latter part of the book deals with the sudden rise to domination in 1979-80-81 with Jones, Reggazoni and Reuterman in the team , the 1980s world title and so forth.
