Subtitled "The Story Of The RAC International Rally Of Great Britain" . covers up to 1969 at which point the event and the sport were massively popular and attracted millions of spectators along it's 5 day route through England Scotland and Wales...how different it is now! The event had run since 1932 but those early versions were closer to a regularity trial with some driving tests thrown in on a sea front at the end, by the start of the 1960s special stages through the forests were the new order and the modern era of Makinen, Hopkirk, Roger Clark and Mikkola had arrived. 169 pages, good condition book but jacket worn and repaired around the edges and corners
