Roy Salvadori Connaught Silverstone 1953

Atmospheric black and white photo of the famous racing driver Roy Salvadori (winner of the Le Mans 24 hours in 1959) at the wheel of his Connaught A Type (A7). This is in the Silverstone Paddock at the 1953 Daily Express Trophy.

In this event Roy 3rd in heat 2 behind Mike Hawthorn's Ferrari factiory car and Ken Wharton's Cooper Bristol. In the final he finished a fine 2nd to Mike Hawthorn's factory Ferrari.
