The Autobiography of the Team Leader of the mighty Pre-War Mercedes-Benz Grand Prix Team & Winner of numerous races of the first league. European & German Champion on many occassions. Rudi made his name with Mercedes, when as a junior salesman & amateur driver, persuaded the Company after much argument that they should let him compete in the 1926 German GP.  They finally agreed, on condition the car was entered privately in Rudi's name, as they did not expect their car or this Junior Salesman to perform well. Of course when he won, all that was quickly forgotten and his career was assured, despite a serious accident at the Monaco GP that left him with one leg shorter than the other, the best years were yet to come, from the Mid Thirties to outbreak of WW2  the German Teams of Mercedes & Auto Union  were all-conquering. Rudi returned to racing after the conflict, but another accident, this time at Indianapolis was instrumental in  gradually drawing this Great Man's Career & eventually his life to a close.175 pages, Good cklean condition book for it's age with a good jacket, dsome wear and repairs at the edges but for it's age, a nice example.
