Is this photo that debunks the history books? The Bentley shown here at the top appears to be taking avoiding action around the Talbot of John Cobb & Brian Lewis... In this race, the 1932 500 miles at Brooklands, Clive Dunfee tragically died in such an incident when his car went over the top edge of the banking at full speed but the history books(Boddy at any rate) say he 'tripped over' Earl Howe's slower Bugatti... did he? Is this the moment , and it was actually the Talbot or is this another moment earlier in the race? Either way the Talbot went on to finish 3rd and win it's class.
