Written by commandant  M.H. Fletcher, ex-Director WRNs with a foreword by H.R.H The princess Royal current commandant at time of publishing. The book combines previously unpublished archival material with the personal memories of the serving Wrens, well displaying the large changes in military and social thinking throughout the decades.

This 160 page book includes 175 large black and white  illustrations  2with the book and jacket both being in good condition considering the books age with only a few very small marks inside ands slight overall wear to the jacket.
