10x7inch (250x175mm) photo of the unusual Veritas-Meteror of Toni Ulmen in the paddock at Silverstone
The event is the 1952 Daily Express trophy (won by Macklin's HWM) and Ulmen was one of three entries from the Veritas team, the others being Paul Pietsch and Zorra Duntoff (wasn't there a Detroit based car stylist - for Ford or GM- of this name? Same person?)
Ulmen qualified mid-grid and finished 11th in his heat and 11th in the final. The German cars were not match for the hoards on newly built British F2 challengers(HWM, Connaught, Cooper, Frazer Nash etc) which dominated the event.
I am fairly sure Ulmen is the figure stood next to the car
